About

Most of us working in academic or research settings are using some of the same tools to do the same thing: EndNote to manage our references, Access to create databases, SPSS to analyze data, Word to create surveys and forms, and Excel to handle whatever Access and SPSS cannot.

This website is designed to help you make the most of these programs so you can work faster and smarter. My goal is to pull together the best techniques and time savers for automating many of the more time-consuming aspects of research, and record video tutorials to get you up and running quickly.

If you’re a researcher (or even if you’re not), and you want to make the most of the software at your disposal, I hope you find this website helpful. If you have an idea for a tutorial, or have a comment about one already posted, just drop me an email or leave a comment.
